Art Direction + photoshoot + editorial design
adidas blog:
hot weather hiking
-
We were asked to create an informative editorial that educated readers on what to wear while hiking in hot weather, using Terrex products styled on-model throughout. The piece needed to break down gear recommendations by category—tops, bottoms, shoes, and accessories—while seamlessly incorporating safety tips for staying cool and protected in the heat. The goal was to deliver a visually engaging and practical guide that left readers feeling prepared and confident for warm-weather hikes.

For the shoot, we steered away from the overused desert setting to convey heat and instead created a tropical-inspired set filled with lush greenery to bring the outdoors inside. We focused on evoking a high-humidity, tropical environment, with styling that reflected a hiker prepared for intense heat. A moss-covered white display pedestal served as a distinctive prop to highlight and pose the product in a clean yet natural way.
